Description
"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." - Mother Teresa
Mother Teresa, also known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was a Roman Catholic nun and missionary of Albanian origin who dedicated her life to serving the most vulnerable and marginalized in society. Her unwavering compassion and selflessness earned her global admiration, including the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. Through the Missionaries of Charity, she tirelessly cared for the destitute, sick and poorest of the poor regardless of their religious or social backgrounds, embodying love in action. Mother Teresa's work primarily took place in the slums of Kolkata (formerly Calcutta), India. Her selfless service and commitment have left an indelible mark on the hearts of countless individuals and is a source of inspiration globally.
This charcoal portrait is a tribute to this humanitarian idol. It portrays Mother Teresa with praying hands holding her rosary beads. Done on paper, using charcoal pencils. This has been photographed with vignette filter applied. In case you would like to see it in the original unfiltered format, then do email me through the "Contact the Artist" button and let me know. I shall upload in the original format.
