Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

"Rejection" is part of a series titled "Shut Up and Dance" this piece pays tribute to the the Inspiring Misty Copeland, who was initially rejected as a ballerina, but her refusal to let anyone steal her dream from her has made her one of the premiere dancers, and most recently the First African American Principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre.
I have always been an artistic/creative person as far back as I can remember. Drawing and Painting came easy for me, but after I acquired a Traumatic Brain Injury during my time in service, I lost those abilities. I thought my days of creating were over, however over the years I have managed to relearn a few things and have returned to the creative path.
