This drawing would eventually lead to the painting style found in my first body of work. My Metaxis series was born from the white Charcoal scribble-hatching I used to commemorate rap pioneers. In my own graffiti/calligraphic script I wrote "Infinite Skills Create Miracles" a line Guru wrote in the song Above the Clouds. May these Hip Hop legends rest in peace.
